Standard cholesterol panels measure total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides. The advanced lipid and inflammation profile goes further, adding apolipoprotein B (ApoB, a direct count of atherogenic particles), lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a), a largely genetic risk marker), and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP, a marker of vascular inflammation). Together these paint a more complete picture of cardiovascular risk than the basic panel alone.
This profile is included at all tiers, with depth and frequency scaled to the program. Higher tiers add specialized send-out testing through reference labs (Quest Diagnostics) and repeat panels at six-month intervals to track response to lifestyle changes, medication, or hormone therapy. Interpretation is done by your physician in the context of your full cardiometabolic picture, not in isolation.
