Bone loss in the peri- and post-menopausal years is one of the most predictable and most modifiable processes in midlife medicine. Bone health counselling at Integria focuses on what the evidence supports: progressive resistance training, impact-loading exercise where appropriate, and (in specific contexts) weighted vests. The counsellor reviews your DEXA imaging, bone-turnover markers, and exercise history, and builds a bone-protective plan around your current capacity.
Counselling is led by the clinic Kinesiologist. At higher tiers, follow-up sessions are built around repeat DEXA imaging at six-month or four- and eight-month intervals, so the plan is adjusted based on how your bone density is actually tracking. Where formal physiotherapy, trainer supervision, or medical treatment is indicated alongside counselling, those are coordinated with the rest of the care team.
