Detailed Sleep Assessment

A structured sleep assessment covering quality, duration, symptoms of sleep-disordered breathing, and, where indicated, home sleep testing.

Sleep is one of the most impactful and most frequently under-assessed variables in menopause and longevity medicine. The detailed sleep assessment combines structured questionnaires (covering sleep quality, duration, insomnia symptoms, snoring, and symptoms suggestive of obstructive sleep apnea), clinical history, and review of any existing data from wearables or home monitors. Common issues identified include untreated sleep apnea, circadian disruption, insomnia, and sleep architecture changes associated with perimenopause.

Where symptoms or risk factors suggest obstructive sleep apnea, home sleep apnea testing is arranged. Where insomnia or circadian issues are identified, interventions are structured around evidence-informed cognitive behavioural approaches, sleep hygiene, and (where appropriate) pharmacological support. Sleep assessment is included at every tier of both programs, and findings are integrated into your broader metabolic, hormonal, and cognitive care plan.
