CT CAC (Coronary Artery Calcium)

A rapid, low-dose CT scan that quantifies calcium in the coronary arteries, yielding a direct measure of atherosclerotic burden.

The Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) score is one of the most direct non-invasive measures of atherosclerotic disease available in outpatient medicine. A low-dose CT scan detects and quantifies calcified plaque in the coronary arteries and produces a single numeric score (the Agatston score) that places you along a spectrum of cardiovascular risk. Because calcium in the coronaries reflects established plaque, the score refines risk assessment well beyond what cholesterol and blood pressure alone can offer.

CAC is included in Longevity Tier 2 and above. For Menopause members, it is available as a private-pay add-on. Scans are performed at an imaging centre, are rapid (under 10 minutes), and involve no contrast or injections. Results are reviewed with your physician in the context of your broader cardiovascular profile, and inform decisions about preventative medication, lifestyle, and follow-up imaging.
