Blood Omega-3 & Fatty-Acid Profile

A blood panel measuring omega-3 index and the broader fatty acid profile, including omega-6 to omega-3 ratio.

The omega-3 and fatty-acid profile quantifies the percentage of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) in red blood cell membranes, reported as the omega-3 index. This is a stable, well-validated marker of long-term omega-3 status and has been associated with cardiovascular and cognitive health outcomes in the research literature. The broader panel also reports levels of omega-6 fatty acids and the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio.

This test is included in the Longevity program at all tiers and in Menopause at Tier 2 and above, with repeat testing at six-month or four and eight-month intervals depending on tier. Results inform decisions about dietary fat sources and omega-3 supplementation dosing. Where intake is already appropriate, the test confirms it; where it is not, targets are set and progress is tracked over time.
