Metabolic Health

US Abdo + SWE

A non-invasive abdominal ultrasound combined with shear-wave elastography to assess liver health and stiffness.

Abdominal ultrasound with shear-wave elastography (SWE) combines two non-invasive imaging approaches into one study. The ultrasound visualizes the liver, gallbladder, and surrounding structures, identifying structural abnormalities, fatty change, or masses. Shear-wave elastography quantifies liver stiffness, which correlates with fibrosis and is a useful screening tool for metabolic-associated liver disease, a condition that is increasingly common and often silent until advanced.

For Menopause members, this imaging is included at all tiers. In the Longevity program, it is included at Tier 1 where clinically indicated. Scans are performed at an outpatient imaging centre, involve no contrast or radiation, and take approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Results are reviewed with your physician and, where abnormalities are identified, followed by tailored investigation or management.
